Ready for the top-speed battle at Silverstone

After a three-week summer break, the LIQUI MOLY Husqvarna Intact GP Team is going full throttle into the second half of the season, which kicks off at the British Grand Prix from the 2nd  - 4th of August. In Moto3, Collin Veijer and Tatsuki Suzuki aim to continue their run for the top positions, while the Moto2 duo, consisting of Darryn Binder and Senna Agius, plan to turn their latest findings into successes.

The Silverstone Circuit is a racetrack with a long tradition and has undergone many changes in its over 70-year history. The 5.901 kilometre track, which was built on the site of an old military airfield, is one of the fastest circuits on the World Motorcycle Championship calendar alongside Spielberg, Phillip Island and Mugello due to its long straights and 18, mostly fast corners, ten of which lead to the right and eight to the left.

Collin Veijer and Tatsuki Suzuki are really looking forward to pulling the gas again, especially as they both attracted attention at the Sachsenring with some outstanding performances. The Dutchman narrowly missed out on a possible triumph at the home Grand Prix of his German racing team, so the 19-year-old Moto3 title contender is all the more hungry going into the race weekend on British soil, where the 15-lap race will start at 12:15 pm (CEST) on Sunday with a one-hour time difference to the UK. After good preparation for the stressful second half of the season, the Japanese veteran wants to get into the groove quickly and show from the start what the 26-year-old is capable of on his Husqvarna.

Getting the maximum out of the Moto2 Kalex is also the goal of rookie Senna Agius and his team-mate Darryn Binder, after both have kept fit with intensive training over the summer. Most recently, the Australian Agius in particular showed that there is still a lot of potential in the 19-year-old, which needs to be teased out together with his ambitious crew. For South African Darryn Binder, finishing in the top 10 is also a definite goal, and the former MotoGP rider will give his all to achieve this, before the 17 race laps on Sunday form the crowning finale of the British Grand Prix weekend and decide who will go into the remaining ten races of the season as a serious contender.
