Looking forward to some wild action in Texas

After a week break the Dynavolt Intact GP riders Marcel Schrötter and Tom Lüthi come highly motivated to Austin in Texas to attack again at the Grand Prix of The Americas.

The 2019 MotoGP World Championship will enter its third round this weekend in Lone Star State Texas.

Marcel Schrötter travels to Austin as third in the World Championship after spending the week in LA following Argentina and preparing intensively for the demanding Circuit of The Americas.

The 5.5-kilometre circuit is one of the 26 year old's favourite tracks. Last year, he crashed heavily lying in fourth position in the Down Hill Passage. In the process, he injured his shoulder. This year the Bavarian has a score to settle, so to speak, above all this time Marcel Schrötter doesn't want to miss the chance to finish on the podium and close all doors behind him on his way to the front.

Teammate Tom Lüthi also wants to catch up after his zero points in Argentina. He used the free week to recover in the Caribbean and keep fit with kite surfing at the same time. The Swiss finished his last Moto2 race at the COTA in 2017 in second place. He is only one of four riders in the current Moto2 starting grid who have already been on the podium in Austin.

With 17 races still to come this season, Tom Lüthi currently occupies fifth place in the World Championship and still has every opportunity to play at the very front.

The COTA is one of the most spectacular racetracks of the year. The uphill passage at the end of the start-finish straight with a sharp left turn offers a goose bump feeling. Fast straights and tight hairpin bends provide further nerve-racking scenes.
