MotoE test with Jesko Raffin in Jerez ended prematurely due to a fire

A fire during the night of March 13th to 14th in the new FIM Enel MotoE World Cup Paddock, which was build up for the first time for this week's test at the Circuito de Jerez, resulted in a major damage of all equipment and motorcycles. The cause of the fire is still being investigated. Fortunately there were no injuries!

The Dynavolt Intact GP team completed the first two test sessions with MotoE rider Jesko Raffin at the Circuito de Jerez on Wednesday.

On Thursday, the 22-year-old hoped to get more riding experience. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. When the Intact GP MotoE crew arrived on the racetrack in the morning, there wasn't much left of the pit-tent facility.

A shocking news for all participants who work hard day and night to make this 2019 World Cup a reality.

As Dorna officially announced in the afternoon, the championship will still take place this year. However, the first event as part of the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez at the beginning of May has been cancelled. An updated calendar will be published soon.
