Working in the right direction on test day two in Doha

The Dynavolt IntactGP riders Marcel Schrötter and Tom Lüthi were able to work under much better conditions on the second test day at the Losail International Circuit and managed to fulfil their testing program with some improvements.

The sandstorm of Friday had settled over night and the teams and riders of the Moto3 and Moto2 classes could work under more favourable conditions on the 5.4 km long racetrack in Qatar.

Marcel Schrötter finished the second test day with a personal best lap time of 1:59.370, only half a second off the top in position eights overall. The 26-years-old did lead the final session, which took place from 20:30h to 21:30h under floodlight, for a long time and finally finished it in fifth position. He was able to take a really good direction with his crew and is confident for the last testing day tomorrow.

At the end of the day, Tom Lüthi was also quite satisfied with the solutions found. He followed his teammate with a time of 1:59.386 and 0,016 seconds distance in ninth place. The Swiss rider wants to minimize the half-second gap to the top, which is currently occupied by Englishman Sam Lowes.

The Intact GP-Duo will be able to work intensively once more tomorrow on the last day of testing, before the season opener Grand Prix weekend begins in a few days' time.
