Done Deal: David Muñoz will race for Intact GP in 2025
With the 2024 season in full swing, the successful German Moto3 racing team is delighted to announce that it has signed the up-and-coming young Spanish talent David Muñoz under contract for the 2025 season.
The rider carousel in the Motorcycle World Championship continues to pick up speed in Moto3 as well and so the Intact GP team was quick to sign Spanish rider David Muñoz, who was born in Andalusia in 2006.
In the 2018 season, the then 12-year-old competed in the European Talent Cup for the first time, where he celebrated two podium finishes and a victory within two years. In 2020, Muñoz switched to the Moto3 Junior World Championship and competed in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup at the same time. He collected three podiums in his first year there and added seven more in 2021, finishing the season in third place in the Cup. He also finished in the top three several times in the Moto3 Junior World Championship and also secured two victories. These performances earned the Spaniard a place in the BOE Team in the Moto3 World Championship in the ongoing 2022 season, where he jumped straight onto the podium in his second race in Catalunya and made a name for himself on the world championship stage. To date, the 18-year-old has a total of seven podium finishes and one pole position to his name.
This success story is set to continue in 2025 with the Intact GP racing team from Memmingen. The current fifth-placed rider in the World Championship will receive the best possible support from the experienced crew, who have celebrated numerous victories and podium results in the last two years, as well as winning the 2023 Team World Championship. Both parties are already looking forward to working together in the 2025 season.
