Successful final test for Randy Krummenacher & Hector Garzo in Barcelona
Over the past three days, the DYNAVOLT INTACT GP MotoE team around Randy Krummenacher and Hector Garzo made their final preparations for the upcoming start of the 2023 MotoE World Championship season in ideal conditions. In a race simulation on Wednesday, the two put up a brilliant fight, which they finished in second and fourth positions.
In the five 15-minute sessions each day, the main objective was to gain as much information and knowledge as possible. The combined practice results ultimately formed the basis for participation in the qualifying simulation on Tuesday - just like a regular race weekend.
Swiss rider Randy Krummenacher got everything out of his brand new Ducati V21L machine, called 'Ludovica', ahead of the French Grand Prix at Le Mans on May 12 to 13, when he will be competing for World Championship points for the first time. The 33-year-old fought gripping duels in the race simulation and finished second on the provisional podium after starting the 7-lap race from the second row.
Hector Garzo mastered the combined classification to make it directly into Q2, in which the Spaniard then secured second place on the front row of the grid. In the race simulation he put his opponents under mighty pressure, was in the lead at the start and finished the first "test race" in fourth place. A good indicator of what to expect in the total of 16 races this season.
With many new experiences under their belts, Hector Garzo and Randy Krummenacher are looking forward with anticipation to the new Ducati era and the longest season so far in the history of the MotoE World Championship.
