Krummenacher & Garzo celebrate Sachsenring podiums

Between podium successes, bad luck, and déjà vu moments, the two MotoE rounds at the LIQUI MOLY Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland had plenty to offer for the DYNAVOLT INTACT GP MotoE team. Hector Garzo takes his debut win at Sachsenring and Randy Krummenacher finishes second in the first race!

Hector Garzo went through a rollercoaster of emotions on this changeable Saturday at the 3.67 km long Sachsenring. The Spaniard was fighting for the win from the start of the first race, making lead kilometers, but was in the middle of the competitive 18-man MotoE field when a collision with Matthias Casadei and Nicolas Spinelli occurred at turn 1 on the last lap, costing Garzo at least a podium, if not his first win. The 25-year-old put the frustration over the lost points behind him and started in the same manner in Race 2, in which he once again proved his strong pace. Shortly before it suddenly started to rain, the current World Championship third pushed his way into first place with a spirited maneuver at the same spot where he had previously been wiped out in Race 1. An attack that proved incredibly valuable, as the race was red-flagged on lap 6 due to the increasing rain. Therefore, Hector Garo finally emerged as the winner of race 2.

One man's joy is another man's sorrow, because when race 2 had to be stopped early, the 33-year-old Randy Krummenacher, who took a fantastic second place in the first race, was still on the move up front. "Krummi" once again had the potential to fight for the podium, after he and his crew "found" something important on his bike, according to his own statements. But for the Swiss, the end came too soon, leaving him with a sixth place in race 2, but a total of 30 more World Championship points.

Two action-packed days at the DYNAVOLT INTACT GP team's home Grand Prix will be followed by the Dutch TT in Assen from the 23rd - 25th of June, where the aim is to build on the third and fourth World championship positions.
